CBD Questions

Do you test your products?

Yes! The CBD used in our products is tested five times before the product is released into the market. These tests look for important things like solvents, heavy metals, pesticides, microorganisms, and THC. We utilize an ISO 17025 accredited third-party lab to test our products so you can be assured the results are accurate.

Listed on the side of our product’s packaging is a Lab ID and Lot # which you can look up on the following page: https://wholesalehealistnaturals.com/test-results/

We also have QR codes on our packaging that, when scanned, will open up a summary of our product test results on your smart device.

Does CBD get me high?

Nope! CBD is non-psychoactive. Sometimes CBD is mixed up with THC—which will get you high—but they’re completely different compounds.

Does CBD go bad?

We recommend using our drops products within 2 years of the manufacture date. They won’t “go bad” but they may lose their potency over time. Keeping our drops upright in a cool, dry place is another step to ensure their longevity.

Does CBD interact with medications?

CBD can interact with prescribed medications, so it’s important to talk with your doctor before adding CBD into your routine.

Drops - Cap is stuck

We recommend running it under some warm water since some CBD might have crystallized on the cap making them tricky to open. If this doesn’t do the trick, you could also put a rubber band over the cap. This will allow you to get you a better grip on it. Helpful tip: push and turn as slow as possible…and breathe.

If those work, please do not re-close the lid tightly. The Drops are not alcohol based so the oil won’t evaporate. You can also transfer to a new container/bottle. Pharmacies and vitamins shops usually have empty tincture bottles available.

What if I'm drug tested?

Our Social CBD products contain only CBD isolate or distillate (from an industrial hemp source, required by law to test at under 0.3% for THC). We make sure our Social CBD products go beyond what’s required and test at 0.0% for THC.

The common urine drug screen for THC-COOH is known to have very little cross-reactivity to other cannabinoids that are not psychoactive, such as CBD. Positive THC-COOH screening results should be followed up with secondary confirmation testing.

There is anecdotal evidence across the industry that false positive results have happened to some CBD-only users. There is a growing concern about the accuracy of urine drug screening given that CBD is legal to consume in nearly every state, but we cannot offer much more guidance than to look online for further resources that may help you in your situation.

What does Full Spectrum mean?

Full spectrum means that the CBD extracts contain a full profile of beneficial cannabinoids and terpenes from the cannabis plant. This type of CBD contains THC. Social CBD products are not made with full spectrum CBD.

Are the products gluten-free?

None of our products contain gluten, but are made in a facility that is not gluten-free. This doesn’t mean that any gluten is processed in that facility, it just means that the kitchen and break area contains gluten.

How do I find out about promotions?

Please sign up for our newsletter to hear about upcoming sales and promotions.

How much THC do your products contain?

Our products are made to federal regulations and contain less than 0.3% THC. In fact, we go beyond what’s required; our products test at 0.0% (or non-detect, as far as our testing methods will permit) for THC.

How should I store your product?

We recommend storing our drops upright in a cool(room temperature), dry place.

I want to carry your product, what do I do?

Please visit the "Sign Up" section on the wholesale portal.

Is CBD addictive or habit-forming?

No — According to a report from the World Health Organization, “In humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential…. To date, there is no evidence of public health related problems associated with the use of pure CBD.”

Is CBD legal?

The 2018 Farm Bill made hemp (defined as having less than 0.3% THC) legal in the United States. CBD made from hemp is legally permitted in all states except Iowa, Idaho and South Dakota.

Is your CBD organic?

Unfortunately there are only a very small contingent of hemp growers who have gone through the organic certification process at this time. Many states, including Oregon, will not yet certify hemp processors. Because of this, we are unable to label as “organic.” However, the farms we source our hemp from use natural growing practices free of harmful l chemicals and it shows in our test results: https://wholesalehealistnaturals.com/test-results/

Even if the hemp was organic, once it goes through the extraction process it cannot be labeled as such. Not only do we make sure all products are cleared through third-party testing, but we also make it a priority to work with farms that share in our concern for clean products and who use some of the strictest growing practices.

We definitely take pride in the fact that our contaminant limits for pesticides, heavy metals, solvents and microbials are well below legal limits.

Isolate vs. Broad Spectrum

Social CBD products are made with either isolate or broad spectrum CBD.

Isolate CBD is the purest form of CBD, which is produced by removing all other compounds found in the plant including terpenes, flavonoids, plant parts, and other cannabinoids.
The Broad Spectrum Drops are made using a distillate, which means they contain CBD and other “minor” cannabinoids extracted from the hemp plant.
Both our isolate and broad spectrum drops contain 0.0% THC.

Topicals - How much should I use?

Start with a dime size amount for lotion based product. Apply to area and wait for product to absorb. Muscle rub can be applied to the body liberally. Muscle rub will remain slightly greasy to the touch, but this is normal. It sits on the skin, and soaks in.

Topicals - Where should I apply?

You can apply the Muscle Rub directly to targeted areas as it is meant for external use only. This being said, avoid eyes or mucous membranes like your nose. This product is not meant to be ingested.

What are cannabinoids?

Cannabinoids are naturally occurring compounds found in the Cannabis sativa plant. Of over 480 different compounds present in the plant, only around 66 are termed cannabinoids. The most well known among these compounds is the delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ9-THC), which is the main psychoactive ingredient in cannabis. Cannabidiol (CBD) is another important component, which makes up about 40% of the plant resin extract.

What extraction process is used for your drops?

Our CBD isolate products are made using an ethanol extraction process. The Broad Spectrum drops are made using a distillation extraction method.

What is cannabidiol (CBD)?

CBD is a natural compound extracted from the hemp plant, also known as Cannabidiol. It works with your body’s ECS, or endocannabinoid system.

What is the difference between CBD and Hemp Extract?

Nothing. Hemp extract and CBD are terms that can be used interchangeably. Please keep in mind that it is not to be confused with ‘Hemp seed oil’.

What is the Endocannabinoid System?

Your Endocannabinoid System, or ECS handles many important functions throughout your body and plays a huge role in stress, mood, recovery and overall wellness. The endocannabinoid system leads the charge for every physiological system in the human body. And its role is to keep us balanced and healthy. A well functioning endocannabinoid system keeps us in good health. Think of it as a way to keep us in a state of balance.

Which product should I try?

It’s hard to keep up with the new methods people chose to include CBD into their lives. We don’t have just one product, but many choices when it comes to adding CBD into your routine. We urge you to explore our various products and see what delivery method you might personally prefer.

We are very passionate about our products, and we think you will be too!

Why are my drops a different color?

You might have noticed a change of color in your Social CBD Isolate or Broad Spectrum Drops–but don’t worry, nothing is wrong. Here at Social, we use natural ingredients. The pigment of hemp plants and herbs can vary plant to plant, so it’s perfectly normal for the pigment of your drops to vary.

Why do my drops look different from my last order?

Why don't I feel anything?

Our products have 0% THC, just CBD (cannabidiol). This means that it will not create a psychoactive feeling, nor an experience known as the ‘entourage effect’. After talking with our CBD users and referencing reviews, many of our returning customers take our products to expand their personal wellness routine.

If you have recently purchased and used one of our products with limited use, we recommend using it consistently for some time to allow it to build up in your endocannabinoid system.
